Marriott International came to us with a clear goal: they needed a global recruitment campaign to help boost hiring in countries where filling positions was a real challenge. The idea was to create a campaign that would highlight the experiences of Marriott employees around the world, showing what it's really like to work for the company - what the benefits are, how Marriott makes them feel, and why they've stuck around. Marriott wanted to focus on the authenticity of employee stories - whether they were long-time senior leaders or fresh faces who had joined through graduate programs. The campaign had to emphasise the company's loyalty, great work culture, and overall positive environment, making Marriott an attractive option for potential candidates.
To bring this idea to life, we took a personal, employee-focused approach. We decided to feature a wide range of Marriott staff, from senior leaders who've been with the company for years to newer employees with just a year or so under their belt. The key was to capture real, honest stories, so we filmed employees on-site at Marriott hotels in their everyday work environments. Our team traveled across the globe to locations like Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, the Netherlands, Belgium, Iceland, and the UK. We sat down with employees and let them speak freely about their experiences - why they chose Marriott, what they love about working there, and what keeps them engaged. These interviews were all about capturing authentic, heartfelt moments, letting employees share their true thoughts in a comfortable, conversational way. The goal was to showcase the diversity of Marriott's workforce and the strong sense of community within the company. The final videos were crafted to highlight both the unique, local cultures of each region, while staying true to Marriott's global brand message. These stories were then shared across Marriott's recruitment platforms, social media, and job boards worldwide.
The campaign made a real impact. The genuine stories from Marriott employees struck a chord with people across the globe, clearly showcasing what makes Marriott such a great place to work. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and we saw a noticeable uptick in recruitment applications in several regions. As the videos went live on Marriott's global platforms, they resonated with audiences, driving engagement and inspiring potential candidates to apply. The campaign not only helped highlight Marriott's commitment to its employees but also successfully attracted new talent to the company.
